Several years ago I think it was in the summer of 1896 my sister became very poor in health.
In fact her life was despaired of. Through the suggestion of our youngest sister we made a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. After that she began to improve and in the course of a very short time regained her health. Wishing to express our thanks to Our Lady and also make known to you the great favor granted, we write you these few lines.
