My Name is Father John Stowe and it is my privilege to serve as the new Rector of the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation. I’ve spent the past 15 years working in Franciscan ministry in Texas, but I have lifelong roots in the Our Lady of Consolation community. My family used to bring me to the Shrine often as a child, and the spiritual nourishment I gained here was important in my decision to pursue a religious life with the Conventual Franciscans.

I am excited to take up my ministry here, and to help build upon the great work that has been done under Father John Raphael’s guidance, with the kind support of friends like you.
