Life is a journey...
...you need time.
Life is a journey of Faith, Hope and Healing-with valleys to cross, hills to climb, deserts to endure and mountain-tops to explore. Sometimes, we exhaust our energies. Some days, we lose our way.
Most of us need times of refreshing. Time to revive, re-evaluate and revitalize. The bread from heaven is fresh every day. It’s never stale.
Perhaps it’s time for you to pause in your journey of Faith, Hope and Healing. To rest and reflect. To find new energies and enthusiasm. To grow in your faith and understanding.
Our Lady of Consolation Retreat House is a place with a ministry of service to individuals, parishes, pilgrims and agencies of the Catholic community. The Retreat House also welcomes people of other religious traditions, and groups seeking a place to conduct programs consistent with Our Lady of Consolation’s mission of spiritual renewal.
...the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. –Acts 3:19
...you need a place
Our Lady of Consolation Retreat House is beautifully situated on the campus of the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation- within easy reach of urban traffic and interstate thoroughfares – but far from the noise and distractions of everyday life.
Walking just two blocks down the street you will find the Shrine Park with 30 acres of quiet places of wonderment, contemplation and discovery. We have beautiful bronze Stations of the Cross on the outer walkway visually recounting the Passion of Christ. As well as the large Memorial Altar dedicated on June 22, 1957 with a statue of Our Lady that is 12 foot high, and weighs a total of 2 tons.Â
Behold I make all things new. – Revelations 21:5
