2010: A Year of Blessing
This year we have a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon all of the blessings God has bestowed on us in the past and to look forward to the ones he will give to us during the coming year. At Our Lady of Consolation this year, we are choosing to look at our Shrine as a place of great blessings, large and small. So many people come here looking for God’s touch in their lives and leave at peace and with hope in their hearts. We hope that you, too, will open your hearts to the many blessings God bestows here through the intersession of Our Lady of Consolation. Whether you can come here in person or send us your prayer intentions through the mail or over the Internet, please let us share with you the many blessings God grants through the prayers of Our Lady of Consolation.

Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist |

Many have spoken of how they find God in nature! They often say they have no need of a church, as in the woods or in the mountains; they are in the greatest church or cathedral ever to be found.
Inside our churches or chapels where we worship, inside those wonderful churches built by people, we find something even greater than nature! We find Him who created the woods and mountains, we find our God, Jesus Christ in the holy Eucharist! This truly is the tenting place of His glory! |

Our Conversation with God |

In these winter months many of us are affected by the cold. We are forced to change our living habits, we dress against the cold, our actions are more limited than in the warmer days of summer, in short, we spend more of our time alone.
Nothing can bring greater warmth too lives than our conversation with our God! Our prayers are an act of love and entrustment in our loving Lord. In our prayers we speak about others and ourselves near and dear to us.
After our prayer, for even greater warmth, let that person know they were remembered in your prayer! |

Just call someone! It only takes a moment of our time, but why not just call someone sometime in this week, just to tell them they are being thought about! One of the greatest reasons we can have for thinking about them is that we care about them. Why not make that call and tell someone you care how they are today? |
