On April 20, 1992 I had exploratory surgery and they found cancer of the bladder.

On May 6, 1992 I visited the Shrine of Our Lady and prayed for help and strength through my up-coming ordeal.  I spoke to a brother and asked him to give me the Blessing of the Sick.  Standing in front of the altar of Our Lady he gave me the Blessing and asked the Blessed Mother to give me a surprise when I awoke from the surgery and to heal me.  When I did awaken I had my surprise.  The doctors told me they took only a partial of the bladder instead of all.  That was my surprise.  Even they were surprised that I made such a good recovery.

In June of 1997 I had my fifth cystoscopy examination and each one showed no cancer.

I feel and I know this was a gift and miracle from Our Lady of Consolation.
